Welcome to the home page of the Sanford Aeromodelers. Formed in 1978 and operating continuously since that date, we are a group of people who enjoy the art and science of model aviation. We are an Academy of Model Aeronautics chartered club, charter #1626. We offer a friendly, relaxed environment for pilots of all skill levels. For those interested in the hobby, or just starting out, we offer flight training.
Our field is an approved FAA-Recognized Identification Area (FRIA). No remote ID transponder is required to fly at the field.
Our club hosts the renowned Blue Max RC event – the preeminent World War I era flight event in the United States.
